We recommend using hardwood bark mulches because as they decompose, they add their nutrients to the soil. Using a hardwood bark mulch that has been dyed has the added benefit of holding its color and looking fresh all season long. All of our dyed mulches are dyed using a vegetable based dye, making it safe for people, pets, and plants.
